Imperial College London in conjunction with the Department of Health commissioned the Communications Group, in partnership with Elkington Associates, to create an online survey to facilitate a study into the possible long-term health effects of mobile phone use. The invitation to participate in the survey was sent by Royal mail to 2.4 million people.

The intention is to keep in regular contact with these individuals and to provide more data over the years to come. The first phase of the project has now been completed.
